Shelia Anderson, R.N., M.S.N.

Shelia Anderson received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Shelia has worked in nursing for over 25 years as an active clinician and educator.

In 1996, Shelia began her work in the field of medical aesthetics. She is widely known for her expertise in the field and for advanced techniques she developed in the non-surgical treatment of clients with Botox Cosmetic and dermal fillers. Dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Radiesse, Sculptra and Perlane help to replace lost volume and restore youthful contours to the skin. Recognizing the need for individualized training in this rapidly growing field, Shelia also conducts beginning and advanced classes throughout the country for physicians and surgeons, physicians' assistants, and nurses interested in offering the best medical aesthetic services to their clients.

During your appointment with Shelia, she will ask you to discuss any aspects of your appearance that you feel could be enhanced with Botox Cosmetic or with dermal fillers. She may also ask you to move various muscles in your face in order to individualize your treatment. After discussing your expectations, her recommendations, and the expected outcome and course of treatment, Shelia will customize your injections to provide a youthful, more natural look and feel for your face.

Lauren Jackson-Gross, L.M.A.

Lauren Gross has been with the Larrabee Center for over five years and brings over eight years of aesthetics experience to our team. Lauren graduated from the Euro Institute of Skin Care and has advanced medical training from the Laser Training Institute in Florida and the Dermal Institute in California. Her advanced training and experience include extensive laser treatments, product training, and treatments for sun-damaged skin and acneic skin. As an aesthetician, Lauren focuses on scientifically proven treatments and products on the market. She stays on the cutting edge of skin care and treatments through continuing education.

In addition to her significant knowledge and experience, Lauren possesses a passion for proper skin care and the dramatic changes it provides. She personally experiences each and every skin care treatment offered at the Larrabee Center. Prior to placing any product on the shelf, she uses each one for three months. Her hands-on approach gives her the ability to describe the effects of each treatment and product she recommends.

As with Dr. Larrabee and the other members of our aesthetics team, Lauren is an educator. She not only shares her knowledge and expertise educating other aestheticians, she has a passion for educating her patients about overall good skin health. As an aesthetician, Lauren sees skin as a canvas-she looks past the pigment, acne, and other imperfections and visualizes what is really possible-clear, luminous skin. She analyzes skin texture, epidermal thickness, vascular condition, and overall skin health. She then educates each patient in caring for their particular skin and tailors a regimen to best treat their skin, taking into account their lifestyle. Lauren believes that surgery takes care of many of the concerns with the aging face, but only proper skin care can correct the texture and condition of the skin.

Lauren's repertoire of treatments include IPL (fotofacial), microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser hair reduction, and Fraxel.
