Lisa Machak, RN.
Aesthetic Injection Specialist

I am a proud native Seattleite, born and raised in West Seattle. I spent most of my childhood as a competitive figure skater and it was my first true love. I learned many important lessons on the ice, one of which is the satisfaction of doing what you love and being good at what you do… something I carry with me to this day.

In the early 90s , with two young children, I decided to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. I walked down the street to a satellite campus of Shoreline Community College, declared my intention, and began a five year journey to earn my degree in nursing. At that time nursing jobs were scarce, and many people would ask me why I was going into that field. Those early lessons echoed back to me, and I truly believed that there would be a place for a nurse who loves what she does and takes pride in being good at her job.

I took my first job as a plastic surgery nurse over 14 years ago and have been involved in all aspects of the specialty from working in the operating room to seeing patients in the clinic as a nurse injector using products: Botox, Dysport, Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse.

I love this specialty and my patients. The best part of my day is sitting with a patient and learning about their goals and coming up with a plan. It’s true that when you look good on the outside you feel good on the inside. How lucky am I? I get to help people with that!

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and my Koi pond. I love hiking and backpacking in the summer, traveling to warm places in the winter, and yoga year round. Recently in a yoga class, the instructor was guiding us in a relaxation exercise. She asked us to visualize our foreheads as completely smooth and relaxed, like a wide satin ribbon, I had to smile because my forehead was already there, with a little help from Botox.
