Dr. Larrabee and Dr. Sherris have published a second edition of Dr. Larrabee’s book Principles of Surgical Reconstruction which has been very well reviewed.
Dr. Larrabee, Dr. Gassner, and Dr. Ridgway have completed a new book, The Art and Craft of Facial Rejuvenation Surgery which will be presented at the annual meeting of the AAFPRS in September and will be printed in both English and Chinese.
Dr. Larrabee and Dr. Ridgway are finishing a new edition of Surgical Anatomy of the Face. Previous editions of this book have sold out rapidly. This edition will not only update the previous but contain innovative and aesthetic illustrations by Dr. Ridgway to complement the wonderful illustrations of Dr. Makielski.
Dr. Larrabee Was honored for his service as President of the American Board of Otolaryngology in Door County Wisconsin in September 2010.
Dr. Larrabee is Editor of the Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery and will meet with the editors of the other Archives Journals in Chicago in May. Dr. Larrabee is also on the editorial Board of JAMA and will participate in their annual meeting in Chicago during the same week.
Dr. Larrabee is President of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies and will chair their annual meeting in Chicago May 2011.
Dr. Larrabee presented 5 lectures on advanced rhinoplasty at the Bernstein Art of Rhinoplasty course in San Francisco November 2010.
Dr. Larrabee will present his rhinoplasty techniques at the AAFPRS Rhinoplasty Course in Chicago May 2011. He will present tip suture techniques and advanced reconstructive techniques.
Physicians and staff from the Larrabee Center presented their latest concepts and techniques at the AAFPRS Rejuvenation of the Aging Face Course in San Diego January 2011. Dr. Larrabee and Dr. Ridgway presented their innovative Temporal Facelift with medical illustrations by Dr. Ridgway. Dr. Larrabee, Dr. Zoumalan, and Lauren Gross presented outstanding results from over 300 patients treated with Ulthera. Dr. Larrabee presented his approach to blepharoplasty and ptosis repair.
Dr. Larrabee will teach August 7,8 in Yangtai, China at the Pan Pacific Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Meeting. Dr. Larrabee is the first Vice-President of that organization. Dr. Larrabee will teach and operate at Shanghai Number 9 Peoples Hospital to help launch a new project – a center of excellence in cleft surgery.
Dr. Larrabee will lecture and teach a Revision Rhinoplasty and Aging Face Surgery at the 10th International Symposium of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Hollywood, Florida, April 28-May 02, 2010.
Dr. Larrabee will lecture on mid-facelifts and revision rhinoplasty at the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Annual Meeting, September, 2010 in Boston.
Dr. Larrabee published a commentary in JAMA on face transplantation in November, 2009.
Dr. Larrabee will present his Deep Vector Facelift Forhead Lift, and Blepharoplasty techniques at the 10th annual International FPS meeting in May 2010. The innovations are based on published anatomical studies from the Larrabee Center. The essence of the Deep Vector Facelift is to reposition the muscular and other deeper layers of the face in the direction needed to correct the facial descent and laxity seen with aging. The Aesthetic Vector or direction of tightening is tailored for each patient to address their specific needs in the neck, jowl, cheek and temple. The Deep Vector Facelift is a keystone of Dr. Larrabee’s new book- The Art and Craft of Facial Rejuvenation Surgery.
Dr. Larrabee was a special guest lecturer at the graduation for the Stanford Medical School Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Larrabee was elected VP of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies in September, 2009 at their annual meeting.
Dr. Larrabee is president of the American Board of Otolaryngology and participated in the 75th Anniversary meeting of the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS) in Chicago.
The Archives of Facial Plastic Surgery founded and edited by Dr. Larrabee celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2009 with a special theme issue. Dr. Larrabee’s editorial can be viewed with other writings under “essays” on this site.
Dr. Larrabee was a “teacher of honor” in Amsterdam October 2008 for the 15th International Course in Modern Rhinoplasty. His lecture was “The Nose and the Face”.
Dr. Larrabee was a special guest lecturer at the Regensburg Course in Facial Plastic Surgery, Germany, April 2009.
Dr. Larrabee was the guest of honor for the 10th International Course on Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery of the Nose and Face in Nujmegen, The Netherlands, June 2009.
Dr. Larrabee directedthe Advanced Rhinoplasty Course of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery June, 2009 in Seattle, Washington. This international course is given every two years and brings the best rhinoplasty surgeons from around the world teach in our community.
Dr. Larrabee’s book Principles of Facial Reconstruction was published during 2009 in its 2nd Edition by Thieme Press. This new edition includes new techniques and previous innovations such as Dr. Larrabee’s “Note Flap”.
The second edition of Surgical Anatomy of the Face by Dr. Larrabee has been translated into several languages and continues to have excellent global readership. A new edition will be published soon.
The Art and Craft of Facial Rejuvenation will be published in both English and Chinese. This new atlas details the techniques developed and refined by Dr. Larrabee to rejuvenate the aging face.
