BroadBand Light Phototherapy in Kirkland

Since 1998, our aesthetic center has been providing IPL services. We were so pleased to add Sciton’s BBL Forever Young treatments to our menu of services, which extended the range of non-surgical options for our customers. This innovative technology set the benchmark for treating skin issues related to aging, physically active lifestyles, and sun exposure, including fine wrinkles, age spots, minor facial veins, and more. All are non-invasive and have little to no downtime.

Why should I choose BBL over other treatments?

BBL treatments provide a secure FDA-approved choice for rejuvenating the skin and managing a broad spectrum of skin issues. Every procedure is highly adaptable because the wavelengths and power settings on the BBL device can be transformed instantly. This allows us to address multiple skin issues in a single session since we can easily modify the heat applied to the treatment area. Leading specialists agree that Sciton’s BBL is the gold standard in photo rejuvenation technology. It is a non-invasive procedure and does not require any downtime.

How does BBL work?

BBL treatments can boost the quality of the surface and the deep layers of the skin. It does this by normalizing the tissue in the epidermis. Additionally, it encourages the production of collagen in the body, thus lessening the visibility of wrinkles, shrinking the size of pores, and enhancing the elasticity of the skin (as collagen is a natural ingredient that can have a beneficial effect on the skin).

During the procedure, the IPL leaves healthy skin unharmed but is absorbed by the darker, deteriorated tissue. The pigmentation will gradually come to the surface of the skin, from which it will flake off the following weeks after treatment.

Benefits of BBL

BBL Forever Young is a helpful treatment for a variety of skin concerns. It is effective for acne-prone regions, such as the face, chest neck, and back. It also has the ability to remove age spots, diminish redness and flushing, reduce spider veins, firm skin laxity, diminish visible pores, clear out active acne, and even skin discolorations.

What procedures go well with BBL?

Sometimes pairing a treatment with another procedure is beneficial for instance, The Halo Laser is effective in treating skin texture and color issues. It reduces wrinkles and fine lines by stimulating collagen. Skin Pen microneedling system treats tiny lines, enlarged pores, acne scars, and other skin blemishes.

It forms hundreds of micro-channels in the skin called fractional wounds and triggers a natural healing process that stimulates collagen and elastin formation. It elevates collagen growth and cell regeneration. This gives the skin a youthful, vibrant look.

Microdermabrasion can be paired with BBL, targeting active acne and scarring, and providing smoother, brighter skin. HydraFacial and chemical peels can also be paired with BBL. Our skilled practitioners at the Larrabee Center will help you choose the best option to obtain your desired results.

What to expect before a BBL procedure

Before your BBL treatment, your skin must be in optimal condition. You must refrain from exposing yourself to the sun, using tanning beds, and self-tannering for four to six weeks preceding and post-treatment. Additionally, one week before treatment, you should avoid waxing, chemical peels, and any products that contain retinol, salicylic acid, or glycolic acid.

What to expect during a BBL procedure

The duration of the treatment will be less than one hour. You may experience a bright light and a very slight feeling of discomfort in the form of a fast, snapping sensation. The intense pulsed light will penetrate the skin and target the issue from the root. You can expect to observe improvements in the look and feel of your skin for weeks after the procedure.

What to expect after a BBL procedure

Following the treatment, your skin will feel like it has a light sunburn. You can anticipate a bit of redness, puffiness, and a possible tingling or stinging sensation that may persist for a few days. The treated area will peel.

Afterward, the newly rejuvenated skin will be visibly pink, which will gradually fade within two to three days. A noticeable difference in the treated skin can be expected immediately, and the difference in the treated area should continue to improve for up to a year.
