Answering Your CoolSculpting Questions
Below are some of the most frequently asked questions we get about CoolSculpting in Seattle. If you would like to know more about the procedure or have personal questions of your own, please do not hesitate to call our office and schedule an in-person appointment with one of our licensed estheticians to speak about achieving your body goals with CoolSculpting.
Am I right for CoolSculpting? Will a different procedure be more effective for me?
CoolSculpting is not for everyone, but it can help men and women who are relatively healthy and at a stable weight to significantly reduce the appearance of common problems such as love-handles, a protruding belly, or excess thigh fat. These problems can often linger despite diet and exercise due to factors such as age, a slowing metabolism, and genetics.
During your consultation, one of our licensed estheticians will carefully observe your condition and listen to your goals and concerns to determine if CoolSculpting is right for you. Some patients may be better suited for a cosmetic surgery procedure.
Is the CoolSculpting treatment painful?
CoolSculpting is a safe and relatively pain-free method of eliminating problem fat without surgery. Some patients may experience some minor discomfort during the beginning of their treatment, although it should be no more than an intense pressure or suction sensation. CoolSculpting is designed to kill underlying fat cells without harming the surrounding skin or tissue. After the treatment, there can be mild swelling and bruising for one to two weeks.
Will the fat come back after my CoolSculpting treatment?
While it will help you to lose stubborn fat, CoolSculpting is not meant to replace a healthy lifestyle or for the treatment of obesity. It is important that patients who undergo CoolSculpting continue to stay active and eat healthy in order to maintain long-term results. CoolSculpting will help eliminate the problem fat, but it is up to you to keep it from coming back afterward.
