Steven J. Laukaitis, MD, FACS
Board-certified oculofacial surgeon with over 30 years of experience in functional and cosmetic facial plastic surgery, Dr. Steven Laukaitis brings exceptional depth of expertise to the Larrabee Center for Facial Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Laukaitis completed his medical degree at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by an ASOPRS-approved fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston. He also pursued post-fellowship study in orbital diseases at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England, and holds a Global Executive MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Dr. Laukaitis is passionate about delivering natural, compassionate results through both surgical and non-surgical methods. For over 20 years he founded and led Aesthetic Eye Associates in Kirkland, WA, where he served as President and Medical Director of a cosmetic laser center and med spa—managing over 350 surgical cases per year and caring for more than 2,000 patients. His expertise spans functional and cosmetic blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, orbital and reconstructive surgery, treatment of thyroid eye disease, laser skin resurfacing and rejuvenation, BOTOX® and dermal fillers, fat transfer and facial lipostructure, and skin lesion removal. He has guided and led multidisciplinary teams delivering advanced non-surgical care with lasers, neurotoxins, and cosmetic fillers for over three decades.
Dr. Laukaitis’s dedication to eye care extends far beyond the Pacific Northwest. Through his work with ORBIS International—first as Field Medical Director and later as Senior Medical Director and Consultant—he has traveled to more than 50 countries across six continents, performing surgery, training local physicians, and developing continuing medical education programs to combat preventable blindness worldwide. Countries where he has served as visiting faculty include Turkey, Jordan, India, China, Russia, Bulgaria, Nigeria, and dozens more. He continues to serve on the ORBIS Program Advisory Council.
