What are microdermabrasion treatments?
The Diamondtone Microdermabrasion manual exfoliating treatments use a minimally abrasive instrument to gently sand your skin, removing the thicker, uneven outer layer.
- Improve age spots and blackheads
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improve hyperpigmentation (patches of darkened skin)
- Exfoliate your skin, resulting in a refreshed appearance
- Reduce the appearance of enlarged pores
- Reduce the appearance of acne scars
Microdermabrasion helps to thicken your collagen, which results in a younger-looking complexion. Collagen is the proteins in your skin that are abundant in your youth. This is what helps skin to appear taut and smooth. Collagen production declines as we age, resulting in looser, uneven skin.
The HydraFacial® resurfacing procedure thoroughly enhances the skin using patented Vortex Technology™ to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, and hydrate simultaneously. The procedure is soothing, moisturizing, non-irritating, and immediately effective.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Who is a candidate for a FotoFacial/BBL?
Candidates for IPL/BBL/FotoFacial are individuals who desire improvement in overall skin discoloration (reds and browns), fine lines, and blemishes on the face, neck, chest, and hands. This includes sun damaged skin, aging skin, oily skin, and skin with enlarged pores.
What happens during a FotoFacial treatment?
First, the face is cleansed of any sun protection creams and protective eyewear is placed securely over the eyes. FotoFacial treatments involve the use of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) or Broad Band Light (BBL). The light is emitted onto the skin where it is absorbed into areas of discoloration. This allows for the constriction of blood vessels, and reduces the overall appearance of skin redness and flushing (erythema), while also reducing the number of sunspots and other types of sun damage. Not only will you see a reduction of broken blood vessels (erythema) and pigmentation, you will also notice a change in the skin’s texture.
The treatment feels somewhat like a rubber band snapping the surface of the skin, with a certain amount of heat. The skin may continue to be warm and feel like it is sunburned for approximately 3-5 hours post treatment. Thereafter, you may be slightly swollen for 24-48 hours. It is not typically necessary to take any time off from work for this procedure.
Is there downtime with a FotoFacial Treatment?
Most clients have few to no side effects with the exception of slight swelling (edema), possible bruising, as well as darkening of the pigmented region, which will resolve in approximately 7-10 days. Unlike laser resurfacing or more aggressive laser skin treatments, FotoFacial/BBL treatments penetrate past the skin’s epidermis (outer layer), focusing on the deeper dermis. Studies show wrinkles and blemishes improve significantly in over 80 percent of clients after five treatments. The client can reapply makeup and return to work and daily activities immediately following the treatment.
What areas can be treated with FotoFacial?
The face, neck, chest, hands, arms, legs, back, and the chest are the most commonly treated areas.
